In the West, we are primarily familiar with modern foot reflexology, which primarily addresses the energy channels, zones, and points of our body's systems using technical methods. Within the ancient life science of Ayurveda, we find a more detailed description and connections between nature, the various systems within our body, and the external world. A holistic approach can be enriching in supporting your health and fostering awareness of life's wisdom. Traditionally in India, the feet have been considered "sacred" and therefore play an important role in massage.
The morning program consists primarily of theory (origin, background, basic Ayurvedic principles, and explanation of application). After a short lunch, we'll begin the practical part, where we'll practice on each other.
The workshop is an introduction to Ayurvedic massage and is open to anyone interested. Want to learn more about Ayurvedic massage? You can register for one of the other workshops or the training course.
