Work regarding Corona and tips!

We're also taking a step back due to the global spread of the COVID-19 virus (Coronavirus). Below are our hopefully temporarily modified offerings, and some Ayurvedic tips to help you get through this period in good health:

The group activities Yoga classes, training sessions, and workshops will continue in a scaled-down format. We will adhere to the current RIVM guidelines. This will reduce the risk of spreading the virus.

Individual appointments Consultations and treatments will continue at our locations in Groningen and Winschoten. If you're feeling flu-like or have low immunity, we advise you to stay home and rest well.

In the practice We are paying extra attention to this during this periodin everything in the field of hygiene and immune strengthening. 

Ayurvedic tips
Adapt to the circumstances;
– Get enough rest (mentally too, so don’t panic!);
Regularity. Sleep and eat on time. The Ayurvedic morning routine (including meditation, tongue cleaning, nasal cleaning, and self-massage) is recommended.
– Pay attention to hygiene. Wash your hands regularly and shower in the morning. Also try to go to the toilet regularly and wash your hands with soap afterward.
– Pay attention to your diet. It should be high in fiber (vegetables and fruit). Sufficient vitamins, especially vitamin C, and minerals contribute to healthy immune system function. Meat broth with a little salt has a restorative effect. Green, bitter vegetables are blood purifying and good for the stomach.
– Ensure you drink enough fluids (drink hot water regularly, possibly with ginger or lemon);
– Make sure you have enough heat in your body;
– Ensure plenty of fresh air, including indoors. Sunlight is essential for our health;
Spices: turmeric, ginger, black pepper, cinnamon. These are all anti-inflammatory, expectorant, blood purifying, and digestive aids. Sage is antiseptic. Licorice and thyme are expectorant and soothing. Eucalyptus is good for the respiratory tract;
– And last but not least: Relax and trust yourself!

Recipe for a vitamin ginger shot to get rid of colds and flu

  • 100 ml fresh lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 25 g freshly grated ginger
  • Place all ingredients in a blender until the honey is completely dissolved.
